As of this week the book Mandorlinfiore has been removed from sale!
But this is good news and the reason is because the story has been picked up by an educational publisher in the USA and is due to be relaunched in 2022 as The Legend of Zonza.
In reality this means I have a lot of work to do regarding promotion and finding my way around a swathe of social media! Video presentations, chapter readings and Zoom conferences are all to come too, and all before my beard has time to grow back! At least my radio-face hasn’t changed, for the podcasts and radio shows that are being posited…
There will be some small changes to the text to improve readability for an American middle school readership, and perhaps a name change here and there. The response from the publisher has been enthusiastic to say the least, with an interest in whether there is a sequel (there is, in a dusty notebook, in a box at the back of the wardrobe).
So I say thank you to everyone who supported the original story, from blog post to paperback and ebook. I am very grateful. I still have a few copies at home (in another box, gathering fresh dust) which I will probably give away if anyone would like one.
Meanwhile, look forward to updates to The Legend of Zonza as this new adventure in storytelling begins for me…
